Based on the same concept as “A sticky situation” I am continuing the series of shapes depicting people, struggling with the effort it takes to break free and move on.
I am putting more emphasis on togetherness - both in terms of friendship and love. A lot of strength can be gathered and given through such bonds, both to find courage and break free, as well as enduring whatever hardships one finds oneself clutched within.

“A sticky situation”
( 7 pieces à 20*120 cm )
2009
“A sticky situation” is about the struggle and choices we have to commit to when we realize that we are stuck. Be it in a situation, a personality, a relationship, work and so on – all those moments when we feel the uncertainty of our previous choices making themselves heard through an itching feeling of dissatisfaction.
It is about the courage in mankind; the desire to break loose from oneself and cast out into a potential nothingness – to explore and create something new.

Light-cages represent the human spirit and her personal sphere; inviting and warm, but solid up close. One can only come as close as the person allows you.
On many occasions this protective sphere becomes more of a cage, consuming instead of containing.

Felix,
Karl-Anders o Patrice
Ps. Vad händer när nyfiken kommer vidare … ser fram emot fortsättningen i flera verk i denna serie
